1936-
Patricia “Pat” Curvin was the wife of historian Robert Curvin and has served many roles in the Newark community.
Pat Curvin was born Patricia Hall and grew up in New York City. She married Robert Curvin in Manhattan in 1958. She was an English teacher at East Side High School starting in the 1960s.

Patricia then worked for Rutgers University in the Office of Health Education, and then as associate dean and assistant dean.
From 1988 through at least 2002, Patricia taught in the English Department at Arts High, where she became Chairperson of the Humanities Department. Later she was a training and sales consultant for Prentice Hall and is now retired.
Patricia was honored at the Newark Library gala in 2007. She has served on the Newark Arts Council, including as President, and as a Newark Museum trustee. She also served as Vice President and Trustee for the Newark Boys and Girls Club.
