1946-

Pamela Goldstein worked in public relations for the City of Newark from at least 1976-2004, serving as Communications Director under Mayor James from 1986-2004.

Pamela grew up in West Orange and attended West Orange High , graduating in 1964. She graduated with a Bachelor’s in Journalism from Boston University School of Public Information.

Pamela married Robert Kornberg in 1974, when she was working in public relations for Bruno Associates. Bruno Associates was representing Newark in public relations from at least 1972. By 1976, Pamela was the main person handling PR for Newark and she quit Bruno Associates to work full time for the City. Her job included public relations, press releases, and similar work. In 1980, she represented Gibson and the council with the mayor of Manila.

By 1981, she was also president of the Greater Newark Friends of the New Jersey State Opera.

As Communications Director for James, she was spokeswoman for everything for the City, and was mentioned in the Star Ledger over 500 times from 1986-2004.

After working for the City, she was a founding partner for Diversity Marketing and Communications LLC and still works as a consultant for the group. Pam has managed contracts for the US Department of Agriculture, U.S. Department of Labor, Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, and Newark Public Library.
