In Newark from at least 1915. The Sunday Call claimed she was the first licensed woman automobile driver in NJ. She became a car saleswoman at a young age in Perth Amboy. She graduated business school and became a secretary but soon became an automobile statistician with the Standard Oil Company. Then she became head of the Research and Statistical Departments of Class Journal Company in New York. She was a sales promotion manager, and then worked at Chase National Bank for a year before moving into bonds.
She was only bond saleswoman in New Jersey as of 1927. In 1927, she worked for Hambleton & Co as a bond saleswoman, as well as a financial advisor, specifically helping women with investments. Also called first woman investment counselor in the state. She was President of the Business and Professional Women’s Club of Newark.
Later exec manager of the residential and civic divisions of the Welfare Federation of Newark. Then manager of Throckmorton and Co. of New York. Appointed Exec Director of Bloomfield Red Cross in 1959.
