Very active in Essex County Republican politics and a member of the Essex County Board of Elections. From 1920-1924, vice chairman of the Essex County Republican Committee. From 1926, member of the Republican State Committee, serving as Vice Chairman (1927-1931). In 1938, appointed to the Essex County Board of Elections by Gov. Moore, after a controversy between Berry and Edith Kreutzinger.
Delegate to the Republican National Convention in 1924 and 1928. Appointed to the State Board of Health in 1927.
In March 1929, helped organize the Federation of Republican Women’s Club. Had been a founded of the New Jersey Women’s Clubs. Appointed to a commission created by the Legislature to study employment of migratory children in New Jersey. Served on the legislative committees of the Essex County Women’s Republican Club and the Contemporary Club. Served on the board of the Newark chapter of the Red Cross and the East Side Day Nursery.
Born in Ohio, came to Newark in 1900.
