Elizabeth Albright Spurr


Newark native and lifelong resident. Founder of the Newark Branch of the Red Cross in 1917. She was also a vice chairman of the National Red Cross. Founder of the Welfare Association and the Plant Fruit and Flower Guild of NJ.

In 1919 became Vice President of the brush manufacturer Rubberset Company. President of the Newark YMCA from 1920-1923.
